I’m Wendy Evans and I am a Postnatal Doula. I have been supporting mothers through birth and postnatally for 7 years now. I have 3 children of my own and even though I love being a mother, I will be the first to admit that it is not always rainbows and butterflies and I could not have been the mother I am today without the support I had for me and my children both paid and unpaid.
If you are looking for someone to support you in the postnatal period, whether it be with feeding, sleeping or mothering, then a postnatal doula can do all that for you. I also offer emotional support and practical help with the household. I will be able to lighten the load, hold space for you to find your feet and allow you to be mothered in a warm and friendly way at a time when it can feel like your needs are never a priority.
My role is impartial, it is not for me to tell you what to do but I do have a wealth of local knowledge that can help you make an informed choice on what is best for you and your family.
If you make an initial obligation-free appointment to meet me, we can talk through what you expect your needs

A typical morning might be:
Loading up the washing for you, ironing shirts for the week, supporting a feed whilst chatting over a fresh coffee/tea about the challenges that may be popping up. I could take the baby out for a walk/watch over them while you take a nap. I can even order your online shopping for you or plan your meals. I can support you with wearing your baby in a sling or carrier too.
I typically provide morning support to get your days off to a good start but can also provide early evening support for those trying early days. I travel up to half an hour away from Cowplain in Hampshire so will cover areas like Petersfield, Liphook, Chichester, Fareham, Portsmouth, Southsea and more.
I have current DBS checks, have trained in baby first aid. Give me a call or an email to book an initial meeting or we can Skype chat.
