Introducing the Hampshire Doulas
One of the brilliant things about doulas is that we will come to you so we worry about the distance, not you. Most of the Hampshire doulas are happy to travel up to an hour. This means if you’re in Hampshire you’ve got the choice of pretty much everyone. Many of the doulas are also very happy to work in neighbouring counties. The most important thing about choosing the right doula for you is to find the person who feels right, who you feel the most comfortable with. It usually helps to read through all the different doulas’ profiles (make sure you click the link on each doulas name to read their full profile and contact details) and then contact the ones that catch your eye. Meet up with a few for a chat before you make the decision about which doula is the best match for you.
Our doulas work all over Hampshire including Winchester, Basingstoke, Southsea, Portsmouth, Andover, Southampton, Petersfield, Waterlooville, Stockbridge, Fareham, Gosport, Lymington, New Forest, Farnborough, Havant, Alton, Eastleigh.
If you’re a doula and want to be listed in the directory please email hampshiredoulas at gmail.com or facebook message www.facebook.com/hampshiredoulas
If you’re looking for a doula and would like more help and support doing so please also email hampshiredoulas at gmail.com with a little info including your due date general location and whether you’re looking for a birth or postnatal doula (or both) and we will put you in touch with some.
Sophie is an experienced birth and postnatal doula. She believes “it is often the smallest, simplest acts that create a positive birthing experience. I have learnt how to read a room, to sense how my client is feeling, to protect her space and her decisions. When you feel relaxed and confident I have done my job.”
Rupa is an experienced birth and postnatal doula. She knows becoming a parent can be overwhelming and brings her training and life and doula experiences to support new families through this time. Her clients describe her as “kind, supportive and reliable”.
Melinda is a birth and postnatal doula. She believes that how we feel in our mother’s womb and how we are welcomed in this world has huge importance. So, for her, offering love and support for a mother during this time of such magnitude is her great passion.
Samantha is a postnatal doula with lots of previous experience supporting families as a breastfeeding peer supporter and an NHS maternity support worker. Her own experience as a mother has been both her greatest challenge and most rewarding accomplishment. The appreciation, understanding and empathy she has for parents motivates the support she offers new families now as a doula.

Please be aware that this Find a Doula page is just a listing facility. Each doula is self-employed and is responsible for their own training, policies, actions and opinions. You are responsible for making sure you are satisfied with your own choice of doula and their training and scope of practice. Hampshire Doulas is not responsible for individual doulas but we try to work with people who have good training and integrity. We will listen carefully to any concerns as well as to any positive reviews of any of the doulas listed here.
